OK I'm Liberated, Now What?
If you have Mokṣa-kāraka in your chart, it doesn't necessarily mean that you are liberated already, but it does mean that you have a very good chance of attaining liberation in this lifetime. The chart simply indicates the celestial influences; each soul has free will, and can accept or reject those influences. Consciousness is senior to all astrological influences. Mokṣa-kāraka means that the door to the spiritual world is unlocked; you just have to open it and walk through. Finding that door and entering into the spiritual world is the highest goal of human life.
But it's very rare that an individual can walk through that door alone, or without help. Our mood in material consciousness is that "I can deal with it—I don't need any help." But when we come to understand the actual situation, we realize that we are not independent. We need help from the Lord, from the senior devotees and Master Teachers to actualize our spiritual desires and become fully self-realized. When a person falls down into an old well, they may know how to get out, but that will not help them. They need the help of a person who is outside the well to get out. Similarly, we need the help of a spiritual Master Teacher and a spiritual community of self-realized souls to get out of the trap of material existence.
