Pat Parker was a Black Lesbian who’s poetry centered her life experiences navigating through poverty, the trauma of her sister, and surviving sexual assault.
She was originally born in Houston, Texas but eventually moved to California to pursue her education.
Parker’s words both affirms and convicts. This post is best used providing video and audio regarding her critique of navigating systemic oppression and societal “norms”.
